Ocean Beach Rhyl

Rhyl has a rich history of amusement parks. Ocean Beach was the largest of a number of parks on the North Wales coast.

The park had numerous rides over the course of its history, including a Water Chute similar to several others that have operated at Dreamland, Blackpool Pleasure Beach and Great Yarmouth. The park’s Jet Stream roller coaster had previously operated at Battersea Park and Belle Vue Gardens in Manchester.

On 2nd September 2007, the park closed its gates for the final time. Rides and attractions were relocated or demolished. Marina Quay, a new retail park now operates on the site.
