Blackpool Pleasure Beach has forever been known for its eye-catching advertising, a tradition that dates back to the early era of the park. Here we share a wonderful advert from 1927 that appeared in the local press, appealing to locals and holidaymakers alike.
New for the season was the Kiddie’s Park, with Bingle and Bob serving as the first mascots. Also new was 1001 Troubles, the ever popular mirror maze that was incorporated into the Impossible attraction in 2002.
Elsewhere on the park. a number of firm favourites were in operation, including the Big Dipper, Reel and River Caves. The spelling of ‘Water Chute’ is interesting, presumably a mis-print.
