Management at Camelot surprised a lot of people in 2007 when it was announced that the sometimes struggling park would be betting big on their new ride for the season.
Kobe Portopialand, Japan closed in 2006 and the park’s rides and attractions were sold off and demolished. One such ride was BMRX, a large Zierer manufactured steel coaster, designed by Anton Schwarzkopf and Werner Stengel. The ride was selected by park bosses for Camelot, before being disassembled in Japan and moved to Charnock Richard.
