A stalwart of the Pleasureland lineup was a strange little building that had numerous names over the course of 75 years, it was a walkthrough attraction with slanted floors and many oddities where nothing was quite what it seemed.
Originally built as Crazy House, it was also named the Crazy Cottage before becoming known as the Haunted Inn.
Sadly, the attraction was destroyed by fire on 30th January 2010. However, similar attractions remain at Adventure Island, Blackgang Chine & Ocean Beach Pleasure Park (South Shields).
From the 2004 Pleasureland Student Pack
“A walk-through device with clever lighting effects. Slanted floors and crooked walls deceive the senses, and the spooky atmosphere means this is one inn where you wonโt get a restful nightโs sleep. You can stay as long as you like, although most people only spend a couple of minutes inside! The Haunted Inn was built in 1935, rebuilt in 1980 and refurbished again in 1988.”
